Thirty percent of respondents stated, "Lease a small portion of their
farm to a power generator for the placement of wind turbines" as a way
to gain financial rewards from wind power. Significantly increased
response rates were noted in Colorado and Iowa. |

Thirty-eight percent of respondents stated, "Invest in a farmer-owned
wind cooperative" as another way they could gain financial rewards.
Significantly increased response rates were noted in Iowa, Illinois,
Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, and Nebraska. |

Sixteen percent of respondents stated, "Purchase a small turbine for
individual use" as a way for them to gain financial benefits from wind
power. Significant figures were noted in Michigan and Missouri. |
